Your Exclusive 5-Day, 5-Night Getaway Awaits!
Start Your Day Right
Imagine waking up in your cozy suite or cabin at the iconic Red Cliffs Lodge, sipping coffee on the patio while the soothing sounds of the Colorado River or Castle Canyon Creek (depending on your room choice) set the tone for your day.
Time to Saddle Up
After a mouthwatering breakfast (seriously, this buffet is extraordinary!), it’s time to saddle up and ride!
This exclusive retreat is set in a historic location where trail riding and cow working take center stage. Whether you bring your horse or lease one of Red Cliff Ranch’s seasoned, well-trained trail cow horses – or both, this unique experience is tailored for natural horsemen and horsewomen.
But that’s not all!
I will also pick unforgettable non-horsey activities for you to enjoy…
These activities are optional, but I’d hate for you to get a severe case of FOMO…! 😉
I Can't Wait To Share These Experiences With You!
In the past, Trails & Tales participants have experienced the Arches National Park Sunset Tour, Dinner & Light Show River Cruise, Moab Museum of Film & Western Heritage, Hummer Sunset Safari, and a guided star-gazing experience.

Red Cliffs Lodge
Red Cliffs Lodge is a place like no other! Situated right along the Colorado River and surrounded by stunning red rock cliffs, the views go on forever.
From sunrise to sunset, you’ll never get tired of it!
This is the stuff that many, many movies were made of! To this day, it’s a popular set for Hollywood, most recently Kevin Costner’s latest project “Horizon”.
Marvel at this breathtaking setting while dining and when riding in the most magnificent arena.
Other than views for days, Red Cliff Lodge offers delicious food and live music at the bar.
Welcome to YOUR own Wild West experience!
Itinerary
Please note, this itinerary may change due to weather and other influencing factors. Changes will be communicated as early as possible. More often than not, a change in itinerary will result in an equally amazing Plan B that you won’t want to miss!

Sunday, April 19th:
Check in and settle into the stunning setting of Red Cliffs Lodge & Ranch.

Monday, April 20th & Tuesday, April 21st:
Saddle up for arena work, trail riding & cow working!

Tuesday Night:
Surprise evening activity – stay tuned!

Wednesday, April 22nd:
A day of leisure. Explore Moab, play in the Red Rocks, lounge by the pool, get a massage, or horse around some more. Or, sign up for a photo shoot with a Hollywood-esque background!
Our visiting photographer is the one and only Nikki from Colorado. A horsewoman herself, she is a talent behind the camera and is so very good at making the talent in front of the camera feel at ease. I mean, she even got me to wear a dress, which I hardly ever do, let alone when I’m riding a horse!
But seriously, it has been a dream of mine to have a photographer come to my Trails & Tales Experience, and I feel very honored to have found Nikki. She is the very best. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to capture these unique memories!
You’ll get to eat, sleep & play where John Wayne, Maureen O’Hara, Henry Fonda, and Anthony Quinn, to name a few, brought the Wild West to life in front of many cameras.
I’ll also be available for coaching from 9.30 am – 12.30 pm.

Thursday, April 23rd:
Dive back into cow working and cap the day with the unique light show on the Colorado River.
Tonight we will embark on another soon-to-be-announced evening activity!

Friday, April 24th:
We will wrap up our Trails & Tales Experience with an all-day trail ride and a picnic lunch before heading home.

FAQ’s
If you are coming from out of state, your horse will need negative coggins and a health certificate. You will NOT have to pull over at the “Utah Port of Entry” (located just outside of Monticello, UT).
If you are joining us from within the state of Utah, you won’t need any paperwork for your horse.

I will make sure that we have enough stalls reserved for our horses.
At check-out, the front desk at Red Cliffs Lodge will take your payment for your horse’s stall.
There are shared water troughs in the stalls but you might want to bring a bucket or two just in case. I personally like to hang a bucket with Whinny Water for my horse.
Yes! Shavings are included in the $35/night horse board.
Yes! You will be able to park conveniently in front of the stalls.
No, the team at Red Cliffs Corrals will take care of that, so that you can fully enjoy your Trails & Tales Experience!
The area where our first trail ride will take us is fairly rocky; Professor Valley is mostly sandy with occasional rocky sections.
Between 3-6 hours.
No, but you may bring your own saddle if you wish to!
Yes, there is a small gift shop where you can buy snacks, drinks, and other necessities.
I would recommend bringing some snacks and refreshments to have in your room.
There is a tap with filtered water in the room, however I have found it to taste a little strange. If you have a sensitive palate, I recommend bringing a couple of gallon-jugs of water.
